Artist Career Workshops
by Curator Jenia Yanes
Berlin-based art curator and educator Jenia Yanes invites emerging and mid-career artists to two transformative workshops designed for the realities of the 2026 art world.
The workshops will take place on 21 and 28 February (14:00–16:00) at Kunstraum Heartspace, Danziger Str. 172, Berlin
This two-day intensive is aimed at artists ready to move from a hobbyist position to a professional artistic practice — developing a distinctive voice, a clear artistic mission, a market-aware presence, and a sustainable monetisation strategy through Jenia Yanes’ proprietary hybrid method.
Programme Overview
21 February — Strategic Foundations
- Strategic positioning
- Visual language
- Artistic identity & mission
28 February — Growth & Sustainability
- Monetisation models for artists
- Institutional and independent growth strategies
During the workshops, participants will:
- Articulate their artistic position, mission, and core audience
- Develop a contextual strategy that bridges inner vision and the external art system
- Learn how to integrate galleries, personal branding, merchandise, and digital channels into one coherent strategy
- Navigate the post-AI art landscape of 2026, where authorship, narrative, and positioning outweigh technical craft
Participants will also:
- Gain a clear understanding of how the contemporary art market functions — and their place within it
- Formulate an individual development strategy, including open calls, residencies, independent projects, and sustainable monetisation pathways
Participation fee: €39 per workshop
Bundle price: €65 for both sessions
Capacity: 20 artists per workshop
Registration deadline: 20 February
